Privacy Policy

Compass Careers director Steve Morris is responsible for Data Protection.

We process minimal young person’s personal data to help us identify to the service user the young people in their educational establishment that we have helped, and for the service user to check progress. The lawful basis for processing is ‘consent’.

The data is obtained directly from the young person when we meet them, but is also sometimes obtainable from the school SIMS system if not already uploaded by CSV file to our secure CRM database.

We do not share the data with anybody. Should the Advisor judge that sharing details with a third party would benefit the young person separate optional verbal consent is obtained at the meeting, in school or on the phone.

The length of time we keep this personal data is in line with Limitation Act 1980 which means keeping it until the young person is 21.
Refer to our GDPR regulation policy to read your rights to access, correction and deletion of your data. Essentially you can see, or have your information deleted at any time. We will update personal data on our database each time we meet with individuals.

Compass will only collect and keep the minimum personal information needed and it is made clear by Advisors when they meet with clients which information is essential and optional.
