Because of all the changes that have taken place within careers education, we decided to change our old name, NEWS Independent Careers Service Ltd, to Compass Careers Limited to better reflect our business mission:
To be the best independent and impartial broker for students leaving school or college, to help them find their bearings and choose the right career path for them.
Compass Careers is a Bristol-based provider of tailored careers information, advice and guidance services. We work with schools, alternative learning providers and other educational agencies to deliver a range of support; including traditional one-to-one careers guidance, presentations, and group work. We have been accredited under the Matrix Standard since December 2014.
This is an exciting year for us. We will be investing more in staff training this year, so that all our advisers (and network partners, who will be invited to participate) are up-to-date with labour market change, innovation and opportunity. This we hope will help to improve the life chances of many students in the West of England Combined Authority area.
We look forward to another exciting year of innovation improvement and collaboration with all our friends and colleagues in 2018/19 as Compass Careers Limited, guiding our young people towards a successful career.
